Dr. DuPre Sanders
Senior Minister

Dr. DuPre Sanders is a native of Fairfax South Carolina. He is a graduate of Wofford College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Political Science. After graduating from college, DuPre worked in business for seven years. At the age of 29, he answered the call to pastoral ministry.
In 1990, DuPre received a Master of Divinity/Languages degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He received a Doctor of Ministry degree in 2006 from the Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond. Prior to becoming the senior minister at Roxboro Baptist Church on July 25, 1999 he served as Assoc. Pastor/Youth at Bethesda Baptist Church (1989-1990) and Senior Pastor at Franklinton Baptist Church (1990-1999).
He has served in numerous positions of denominational leadership. On the associational level he has served as vice Moderator, Evangelism Director, and President of the Pastor's Conference. He has been a special worker in the area of discipleship with the Baptist State Convention of N.C. and has served on a Regional Futurist Task Force and also served on the Leadership Task Force of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of North Carolina.
DuPre is married to the former Karen Horger of Orangeburg, S.C. "Karey" graduated from Clemson University and is a math instructor at Peidmont Community College in Roxboro. DuPre and Karey are the proud parents of two sons, Joey (born in 1985) and Josh (born in 1992). The family enjoys hiking, camping, traveling and cheering for the Atlanta Braves.
