SUNDAY SCHOOL
The Sunday morning Bible study time, Sunday School, begins at 9:45 am. Sunday School is age graded for the entire family beginning with infants through Senior Adults.
Sunday School is a vital ministry of Roxboro Baptist Church. This program provides Bible study in a relaxed atmosphere where participants are encouraged to learn and discuss Bible truths and make applications to life. Sunday School classes are also involved in many ministries to members and guests. Warm personal relationships are fostered through Sunday School class activities.
Roxboro Baptist Sunday School Classes
Preschoolers
Preschool 1
Preschool 1 is a class for the babies (newborn to 18 months old). This is a class where adults interact with the babies in the church nursery, sharing with them about God’s love for them. The class is located in Room B102.
Preschool 2 & 3
Preschool 2 & 3 is a class for preschoolers who are 18 months to 3 years old. This class does more hands-on activities, has Bible stories, and the children have age-appropriate discussions about God with the adult teachers. The class is located in Room B103.
Preschool 4
Preschool 4 is a class for preschoolers who are 4 years old. This class has Bible stories, activities and age-appropriate discussions about different stories in the Bible with the adult leaders. The class is located in Room B100.
Children
Bible Beginners
Our Bible Beginners class is for children who are in Kindergarten and 1st grade. The children learn about different stories and people in the Bible through hands-on activities and Bible stories. The class is located in Room B305.
Bible Searchers I
Our Bible Searchers I class is for children who are in 2nd and 3rd grades. The children learn Bible stories and how to apply these stories to their lives. The class is located in Room B304.
Bible Searchers II
Our Bible Searchers II class is for children who are in the 4th and 5th grades. The children learn about stories and people in the Bible through hands-on activities. They also learn how to apply these truths to their lives so they can grow to be the Christian boys and girls God wants them to be. The class meets in Room B301.
Youth
Youth 1
The Youth 1 class is made up of young people in grades 6-8. The class learns about how to live a life that is pleasing to God during the middle grade years of life. They discuss the various spiritual aspects of a middle schooler’s life. The class meets in Room A311.
Youth 2
The Youth 2 class is made up of young people in grades 9-12. This class engages in deeper study and discussion of the Christian life and how this impacts the high school years. This class meets in Room A300.
Adults
All adult Sunday School classes use group discussion in the study of the Bible and what it teaches about living a Christian life.
College & Career Class
This class is a co-ed class made up of adults who are 19 years old and older. The class discusses different topics that deal with the Christian life. The topics covered are things that can be applied to the life as a single person. The class meets in Room A207.
Young Adults Class
This class is a co-ed class made up of young adults. The class discusses different topics that deal with the Christian life. The topics covered are things that can be applied to the life as a single person and as a married couple. The class meets in Room B200.
Class of Hope
The class of Hope is a co-ed class for adults who are 50-65. This class meets in Room B300.
New Beginnings
The New Beginnings class is a co-ed class for adults. This class meets in Room A205.
Class of Ruth
The Class of Ruth is a class for ladies who are 40-65 years of age. This class meets in Room B203.
Co-Ed Class
The Co-Ed class is for adults who are 45-65 years of age. This class meets in Room B205.
Sisters in Christ Women’s Class
The Sisters in Christ Women’s Class is for ladies who are 50-80 years of age. This class meets in Room A215.
Men’s Class
The Men’s class is a class for men who are ages 50-65. This class meets in Room B204.
Kings Men/Class of Paul
The Kings Men/Class of Paul, a class for men who are ages 60-85. This class meets in Room A213.
King’s Daughters
The King’s Daughters class is a class for ladies who are ages 65-80 years of age. This class meets in Room A211.
West Baraca/Myrtrice Woody Class
The West Baraca class is a class of co-ed adults who are 65 years of age and older. This class meets in Room A208.
Martha Lee Pass
The Martha Lee Pass Class is for ladies who are 70 years of age and older. This class meets in Room A204.
Fishers of Men
The Fishers of Men class is a class for men who are 70 years of age and older. This class meets in Room A206.
